SJTU HDR Video Sequences

The photographic apparatus adopted to produce our HDR dataset was of prudent contemplation. The Sony F65 and F55 cameras were chosen to generate all the UHD HDR video sequences. The raw data of the videos which were recorded in Sony RAW 16bit MAF format containing a dynamic range of more than 14 stops. In order to rendering them to the monitor screen, in the post-production process, the original S-Gamut/S-Log3 color model was used in the color grading software with BT.2020 color primaries. The output was then transformed into video through SMPTE ST.2084 EOTF and output to the 4k HDR monitor (Sony BVM-X300) through Quad SDI interface. The final output is in a half float 4:4:4 RGB format with openEXR as container. Note that our sequences is not in linear-light RGB format for they are acted on OETF(inverse ST.2084) before exported as openEXR files, which means that you should set the parameter SourceTransferFunction=1 (no TF) in the config file of HDRTools when generating YUV files from our sequences.
