Zhengxue Cheng is an assistant researcher at the institute of Image Communication and Network Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She received the B.E. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China in 2014 and the M.E. degrees from Waseda University, Kitakyushu, Japan and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015 and 2017, respectively through a double-degree program. From Oct. 2018 to Feb. 2019, she was a visiting intern at EPFL, Switzerland and worked with Prof. Touradj Ebrahimi. She received a PhD.degree at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Jiro Katto. She obtained Research Fellowship for Young Scientists DC2 scholarship from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). Then She worked in Ant Group, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, as an Algorithm Expert from May 2020 to April 2024.

Her research interests focus on learning-based image/video compression, image/video quality evaluation and efficient DL algorithm deployment.
